This pandemic is guiding us towards change. Our pediatric clinic is now shifting online. Because of this, your friendly neighborhood pediatrician is now on SeriousMD and on PPD The Filipino Doctor. Both are online consultation platforms.
With these we will be able to talk either via chat, call or video call. We will also be able to share pictures and video so that I may be able to assess your child better. Of course there are limitations to these methods. For example, I wont be able to hold, touch or feel any bumps or rashes. I also won't be able to hear heart, breath and abdominal sounds. Some maneuvers may also be skipped.
A wise person once said that we must make do with what we have... and so we must.
We can still address concerns such as fever, minor cough and colds, diarrhea, among others. We can still talk about picky eaters and how to prepare more attractive foods. We can still talk about behavioral problems and when to refer them to specialists.
There is now a whole network of doctors who we can refer to, virtually of course, if the need arises.
Now, to prepare for our teleconsult, I have prepared a consent form for you to go over.
